William Benson Esq, Colonial Surgeon attended Elizabeth for 5 - 6 weeks before her death who was laboring under dropsical affection and had been for 8 or 9 months 3 weeks prior to her death, she was attached with diarrhea Dropsy seldom occurs in young persons Last 3 weeks was purged & vomited DROPSY - Dropsy is an old term for edema, a condition of fluid accumulation in the tissues.
