1837 - 4 January 1837. Tried. Offence; Theft and previous convictions. [Stealing 3 shirts] Indent No; ?06. Status; Single. Trade; Dairy Maid & Farm Servant. Age; 26 years 1841 - 26 January 1841. Died in the House of Correction, Launceston - 26 January 1841. 1841 - Death. 26 Jan 1841. Cause of death Dropsy aged 27 years old 1841 - Inquest. 27 Jan 1841. William Benson Esq, Colonial Surgeon attended Elizabeth for 5 - 6 weeks before her death who was laboring under dropsical affection and had been for 8 or 9 months 3 weeks prior to her death, she was attached with diarrhea Dropsy seldom occurs in young persons Last 3 weeks was purged & vomited DROPSY - Dropsy is an old term for edema, a condition of fluid accumulation in the tissues.
