I have seen the York court document at the Kew National Archives and the surgeon's report. Both refer to Maatthew Furness Airsine, however other researchers confirm this is a mis-spelling of Hairsine, a surname from East Yorkshire. Their online record HO/17/52/83 names Matthew Furness Airsine (or Matthew Furness Hairsine).
