Baxter was initially sentenced to transportation but it was reduced to imprisonment. (He was younger and it was Aldridge who was violent.) Baxter's entry on Digital Panopticon is not clear about his later life.

The robbery was coordinated between Aldridge and his accomplice James Baxter. Both had previous convictions.
