The National Archives - Home Office April 1832 Prisoner name: Thomas Archer. Prisoner age: 34. Court and date of trial: Somerset Lent Assizes, ... Crime: Larceny. Initial sentence: Seven years transportation. National Archives have Thomas as aged 34 (born 1801/2) - Founders and Survivors website have him listed as being 30 years old on arrival (born 1803). Thomas was born in Norfolk, and was transported for stealing 2 beer glasses. Thomas was 5'10½" tall, fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, T.A.T. on left wrist Ring mid & ring finger same hand 1813 on same arm Crufx T.A. Thomas Archer on rt. arm. Occupation: Kitchen Gardener/Horse doctor. Married with 1 child. Wife Mary at Ueavil, Lidcombe, Somerset. 1833-35 Musters: Assigned to Edward Abbott Esq. 1839: Free Certificate.
