She was tried w/others? for stealing cotton gown etc of Mr (Beasley) draper of Nuneaton Warwickshire at Warwick Quarter Sessions on 10 1 1809, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 8 1809 after a voyage of 6.5months on INDISPENSIBLE; she was Protestant. She had a first relationship with Charles (Meyrick his first relationship) & produced a child.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] CCONVICTdone Charles (Meyrick/Merrick/Marriott/Merritt) was born on 23 9 1782 & became a watch chain maker. He was tried for breaking & entering w/1other, on 30 6 1808?, musket gun etc of Thomas (Davis) at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to Life, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 27 2 1810 after a voyage of 7months on ANN/E. He was Free by Servitude by 1819. He had a second relationship with Susannah (???/Brown her second? relationship. He produced 2known children in his lifetime. [Some details taken from this Website] .. >>>.Ruth (Ashburn/Ashby) applied, as Ruth (Ashley), for permission to marry James (Hanse) on 29 8 1820 (errors in spelling would occur due to the application with recommendation would be written by the chaplain) & did marry James (House) on 9 10 1820 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. She is recorded in 1828 with her husband James (House) on 5acres (maybe hers) at Head district. She produced perhaps 1child in her lifetime. EXPLORER James (House) was born about 1790. He was tried at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to Life, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 5 4 1818 after a voyage of 6months on BATAVIA; he was Protestant; he was forwarded to Bathurst for distribution on 14 4 1818. On 15 5 1820 he accompanied J(ohn?) (Howe) on further exploration of Hunter River. On 16 10 1821 he was sent to Newcastle (possibly for bad behaviour) on ELIZABETH HENRIETTA, from where he escaped, was captured & sent to Port Macquarie on NEWCASTLE. On 22 11 1823 he was discharged at Emu Plains & sent to the Bench at Penrith. He was possibly sent back to Newcastle at this time, from where he escaped again, was captured, & sent again to Port Macquarie. He is recorded in 1828 as James (House) with his wife on 5acres at Head district. He may have produced 1child in his lifetime.
