Tasmanian Marriage Record. https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD36-1-1p147j2k Hobart Town, 1825. John Boon, age 33, Free, of this parish, and Martha Bettelley, age 25, of this parish, convict per Mary, were married by Banns, 31 Jan 1825 at St David’s church, Hobart, by the chaplain, Wm. Bedford.




For Daniel Mason's appearance, to answer indictment for assaulting John Booth, constable. For John Boon's appearance to answer indictment for assaulting J. Booth, constable. Chester Courant, 29 Dec 1818. The following is a list of Prisoners to tried at our ensuing Assize:— ... John Boon, Daniel Mason, for assault; ... Chester Courant, 23 Feb 1819.




On 31.1.1825 he married a fellow convict, Martha Betteley. They had a daughter, Eliza Ann Boon, (1825-1873) and a son, George Eustace Boon(1838-1873) John Boon is shown as “Free by Servitude” on 9.1.1835. His date of death is not known but he is presumed to have died in Launceston.
