Isabella BOSWELL was convicted at Edinburgh 22 July 1850 for stealing bacon. Previous offences. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Aurora' arriving 10 Aug 1851. Ship Surgeon's Report: "Exemplary behaviour" Married, widow (husband dead 19 yrs); 2 children; midwife; aged 44yrs; 5'1 1/4"; can read & write; Protestant. Brother - John Sisters - Jane & Mary Native place - Edinburgh, Scotland. Assignment of service work. 24 Feb 1852: Drunk. 2 mths hard labour. 27 May 1852: Died, at the Female House of Correction, Hobart.
