Nicholas Burke was 55 or 40 years old on arrival (55 on the 'Convicts received on board the Bencoolen at Cove of Cork in Ireland' list, and 40 on the Irish Convicts database) he was transported for 'Perjury'. Colonial Secretary Papers: BURKE, Nicholas. Per "Bencoolen", 1819 1821 Sep 8: Blacksmith. On list of all persons victualled from H.M. Magazines (Reel 6016; 4/5781 p.117) 1824 c.Apr, Oct 8: Smith. Assigned convict mechanic whose master was a defaulter in payment for (Reel 6061, 4/1778 p.265f; Fiche 3293, 5/3821.1 p.4) 17/11/1825: COF 10/2/1832: COF renewed. No date of death found.
