William Bowdler was 51 years old on arrival - Native Place: Salisbury. William was transported for 'Stealing ducks'. William was illiterate, protestant, single, 5'3" tall, dark sallow and freckled complexion, brown hair, chestnut eyes, nose a little crooked, scar on left cheekbone, another on centre of upper lip, scar on right eyebrow, another outside right eye, scar over left ear, two scars inside middle finger of right hand, scar back of middle finger of left hand. 1846: TOL Bathurst 27/5/1848 Bathurst Advocate, NSW; William Bowdler, who was charged with the same offence (Drunkenness) pleaded that he was sober, and it was proved that he was in such a drunken state as to be unable to walk to the watchhouse. He was sentenced to pay 10s. as a fine, or retire to the cells for twenty-four hours. No date of death found.
