Thomas was 39 years old when tried. He may have been the brother of Richard Bowyer, also on board, they had the same trial date and place. Sick List of the Hashemy 1850: Thomas Bowyer, aged 39, prisoner; sick or hurt, diarrhoea; put on sick list, 23 September 1850, discharged 5 October 1850 well. Thomas was single, semi literate, protestant, 5'5" tall, dark brown hair, blue eyes, dark complexion, cut on forehead. 26/1/1852: TOL 3/5/1855: CP 9/4/1856 The Inquirer and Commercial News, Perth: Thomas Bowyer, charged with stealing 3 bags the property of John Aming at Fremanile. NotGuilty. No other records of Thomas (or Richard) found.
