Convict Notes

On returning to Ireland, Loughlin Brennan married Mary Foy and had 10 children. What happened with his alleged first wife is unknown (perhaps she died). Loughlin was a labourer on his return and on his death was buried in the graveyard of Down Cathedral, at the foot of what is traditionally the grave of St Patrick. Originally marked my an iron cross, this was removed some years ago and a granite plaque now marks Loughlin's grave.

Loughlin Brannon was 24 years old, single and his native place was Kilkenny. 2/9/1840: COF 1845: Married Sarah Baker at St. Andrew's, Sydney. No other records found.
