Committed to Fisherton Gaol:-John Hayward and Jeremiah Bray, labourers, charged with having, Aug. 20, assaulted and robbed Anthony Bissie, at North Bradley. Salisbury Journal, 21 Sep 1835. JOHN HAYWARD and JEREMIAH BRAY were convicted of assaulting Anthony Bissie, and robbing of sovereign and other property, at North Bradley—Death recorded. Devizes and Wiltshire Gazette, 10 March 1836. The following convicts have, during the week, been removed from Fishcrton Gaol, and put on board the Leviathan Hulk, at Portsmouth, in order for transportation, viz : William Hawkins, Harry Waite, Thomas Burge, Henry Smart, Jeremiah Bray, James Sawyer, and John Hayward, convicted of highway robbery; and John Reeves, convicted of burglary, all to be transported for life. Benjamin Woodward, for receiving stolen property, and John Ashley for stealing fowls, to be transported for seven years. Devizes Gazette, 26 May 1836.
