There is much misconception and confusion over this record. This Joseph Bramich/Bromwich/Bramwick is NOT connected to the Tasmanian Bramich's. No record has been found of him beyond his time in NSW as a convict. Tasmania Joseph Bramich was a widower when he came to Tasmania. (Tasmania) Joseph Bramich married 16 Mar 1842 to Mary Harrison (1811 - 2 Jun 1855). Mary died in Warwickshire and Joseph then sailed to Tasmania 17 Jan 1858 on the "Empress Eugenie” with 5 children. (Mary, Maria, Martha, Thomas, ?. All 3 girls married cousins including 1 when she was 15.) Then on 9 Sep 1858 Martha Harrison (his sister in law) (1837 - 11 Jun 1913). They had 8 children. Emma Verena, Bernard Harrison, Harriet Alice, Walter George, Ada Annie, Frank, George Edward, Fannie Edith. Tasmania Joseph is the brother of the other 2 listed convict Bramich's. If any questions pls contact the (Bramich Tasmania (Deloraine and Beyond) group found on Facebook.

A news article in Birmingham Journal on 6 March 1830 says he broke in to a building with 2 others and stole a pair of boots. In trying to get away, he dropped one boot. A boy who knew him saw it and ultimately Joseph was arrested when found in possession of the 2nd boot. He had been acquitted for a different offence in the January of the same year.
