Died at Wedge Bay Convict Probation Station 19 August 1843 Along with Slopen Island, Wedge Bay Probation Station was to be one of the shorter-lived stations established on the Tasman Peninsula. Soon after construction had started, it was decided to turn Wedge Bay into an Invalid Station, receiving convicts that were too infirm to perform satisfactory labour in primary labour gangs.
