No; 57 Name; Mary Brown Amount; 2 Shillings & 2 pence




The convict indentures state that Mary Brown was convicted for life at Wicklow on 3 July 1837 and sentenced to life. She died at sea. Transport number 74. The warrants of the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland state that Mary Brown was 21 years old. She was convicted of wounding cows and sentenced to life transportation at Wicklow on 3 July 1837. Physical attributes: Height 4 feet 10 inches; complexion fair; hair flaxen (I think) and eyes grey. Please note that there is code under crime. The closest term that I could use was wounding with intent. The correct crime is wounding cows.
