City Convictions. The following is a list of the persons tried and convicted at the last City Assizes, and the sentences pronounced upon them: Francis Murphy. Daniel Sullivan, James Fitzgerald, Margaret Shea, Elizabeth Coghlan, Honora Sullivan, Mary Murphy, Mary Carroll, John Regan, Elizabeth Field, Mary Mahony, Ann Curtin, Geo. Gough, Margaret Murphy. John Brian, and Thomas Harding—felony, to be transported for 7 years. Patrick Crowley, alias Quinlan, swine stealing, do. Denis M‘Auliffe. do. do. John Holy, sheep stealing, do. Catherine Duggan, having in her possession forged notes of the Bank of Ireland, to be transported 14 years. Southern Reporter, 25 Aug 1825.




CITY CRIMINAL COURT. John Bryan and Healy for stealing lead (about 12 lbs. weight) on the 27th May, the property of Richard Comerford—The prisoner Healy was acquitted— John Brien, on the evidence of the watchman of the walk, was found guilty, and sentenced to seven years transportation. Southern Reporter, 13 Aug 1825.
