Mary Ann Buckley was convicted at Cork City on 19/02/1841 for Larceny - steal silk hankerchiefs & previous convictions.  7 yr Transportation sentence.

Transported on the ‘Mexborough’ departing Dublin 12/08/1841, arriving Van Diemens Land 26/12/1841.
Surgeon’s Report: Quiet, well behaved.

Single.Aged 17yrs. Native Place: Cork, Ireland.
5’2 1/2”; sallow complexion; Dk brown hair; blue eyes.

24/04/1843: Misconduct - 4 days solitary and returned to her service.
Female Factory, Launceston.

26/04/1843: Application for permission to marry Thomas Higgs (convict per ‘Enchantress’).
05/06/1843: Marriage to Thomas Higgs, Westbury. (Mary 18yrs; Thomas 34yrs.)

04/02/1845: Ticket of Leave
12/02/1848: Free by Servitude
11/05/1853: Free Certificate.
