The Royal Admiral was built at Lynn in 1828. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Royal Admiral in 1830, 1833, 1835 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1842. 1833 - Ship; Royal Admiral. Commenced fitting as a Convict Transport at Deptford on the 29 March. Surgeon Superintendent [Andrew Henderson] joined on the 3rd April. Guard embarked on the 13th. Sailed on the 17th and anchored in Kingston Barbour near Dublin on the 9th May. 220 convicts embarked on the 16 May 1833 and the ship sailed from Dublin Bay for Sydney on the 4th June and arrived there on the 20 October. Originally embarked with 221 convicts, 5 Died at sea, 1 was Relanded. 11 sick on shore, The convicts were described as 220 such wretchedly debilitated creatures ... Jeremiah Bunn married Ann Pugh (free - Canton 1835) in 1841 at Morpeth. This would accord with government permission given at that time for the marriage to take place Marriage Records show her name as "Roberts" at that time according to http://www.jenwilletts.com/searchaction.php and birth records also show birth of Sarah Roberts in 1837 with a sister Ann being born in l844 and dying in l846. Sarah was married with parental consent in 1851.

Jeremiah Bunn was convicted at Suffolk (Liberty of Bury St. Edmonds)Quarter Sessions. He arrived in Sydney on the "Royal Admiral" on 1 July, 1830. He was assigned to Tailor, Moses Browne, Sydney. He was in trouble with the law for most of his life in one way or another. In the Sydney Court of Quarter Sessions on 29 July, 1833 he was charged with stealing a blue frock coat and received a further sentence. He fathered a child with a female convict called Sarah Pugh in Sydney abt. 1835. The child was called Sarah Bunn and she eventually married Robert William Hancock in Gresford NSW. He did not marry Sarah Pugh but did marry Ann Pugh who came to Australia as a free settler on the "Canton" in 1841. They lived in the Paterson NSW area and he died in Halton, NSW in 1855.
