Samuel Burrows was convicted at Warwick on 27/03/1820 and received a 7yr Transportation sentence. He departed on the 'Maria' arriving in Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) 01/12/1820. Hulk Report: Orderly. Single or married not stated. Convict no. 9457. 06/08/1824: Out after hours and absconding from Clearing Gang of Mr. Evans at New Town without a pass - 25 lashes. 20/09/1824: Absconding on Sunday when going to church - 25 lashes. 31/03/1825: Insolent - 25 lashes. 25/05/1825: Absent without leave - 50 lashes.
