4/3/1821 Windsor and Eton Express Berkshire, England: Joseph Cambray and Thomas Trotman were each sentenced transportation for seven years, for breaking into the cellar of George Wheeler, of Buckland, and stealing a quantity of ale and beer. Thomas Trotman was also on the Malabar. Joseph Cambray was listed as 42 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Bampton Oxfordshire. Joseph was 5'4ΒΌ" tall, brown hair, blue eyes, scar right side of upper lip. Married: Wife Rose, and 5 children at Bampton. 9/6/1826: Had a TOL - Charged by his wife with ill treating her. 23/10/1826: TOL - Bound over to keep the peace towards Rose, his wife, for 12 months. 8/7/1828: Bound over to keep the peace for 6 months towards Rosanna, his wife. Charged with assault, beating her. 16/5/1831: Charged with gross leudness in being found in the female servants bed room at the house of G. T Read Esq., at Sandy Bay at 10 o'clock last night partly naked. To find Sureties for his good behaviour and to answer the charge at the next Quarter Session. 29/12/1831: Drunk - admonished. 5/4/1839: Joseph Cambray died, aged 56, a groom, died of Tetanus - registered at Hobart. 1842 Census: Rosannah Cambray was living at 90 Liverpool Street, Hobart. 25/8/1854: Rosannah Cambray, aged 50, died of accidental burning - registered at Hobart.
