391 ton Barque. Built Liverpool. The Barque Arabian, under the command of Captain Robertson, left Kingstown, Dublin, 22 November, 1846, with 150 female convicts and 37 children on board. One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

Jane Cameron, age 25, House maid, tried Antrim, 18 July 1846, 15 years, Native place, Co. Antrim. Single, religion, C.E. can neither read nor write. Relations: Father, Robert; Mother Ann, (both crossed through and added, Dead.) Sisters, Mary Ann, Betsy. At N.P. 2 years on the Town. Offence: Highway Robbery, (tried with Matthew Walker, who got 15 years), for a time piece, 1 month. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jane Cameron was charged with having, on the 23 September, at Ballymena, assaulted Thomas Buchanan, and feloniously taken from his person a purse, containing £7 10s.
