Marriage. John Cantwell (Earl St Vincent) married Mary Ann Cook (Providence) at Launceston 6 April 1829. They were both of the parish of Launceston. Witnesses were A. Lenoy, of Launceston and Parish Clerk, Thomas Godwin. John signed his name. Mary Cook signed her X. Chaplain W. C. Browne performed the ceremony.

Crime: Stealing a ewe sheep from James Long of Yarnton, Oxfordshire. Initial sentence: [Death], commuted to transportation for life. Annotated (Outcome): Refused, 1 March 1824. Petitioner(s): Stephen Cantwell of Woolvercott, Oxfordshire, butcher, the prisoner's father, undersigned by William Streatfield, minister, Richard Williams, lord of the manor, and four inhabitants of Woolvercott. Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): The prisoner is young and this is his first offence; he is of previous good character.
