County of Down Assizes. Patrick Cavanagh and Rose Cavanagh, for passing a bad half-crown. His Lordship, in this case, animadverted on the atrocity of the crime of passing base money, as the injury fell chiefly upon the poor; and sentenced the prisoners to transportation for 7 years. Belfast News-Letter, 27 July 1832.
