* Date of Trial; 11 January 1841 for Receiving stolen Brass * Married with 2 children. Died on board on the 20 May 1841 aged 36 years old. Cause of death; Scrofulous, Abscess of Scrotum of Perineum cum Diarrhea. From the Surgeon's Notes; 6 days after embarking at Sheerness, Samuel presented himself laboring under a mass of disease f the scrotum of testes and to the surgeon's astonishment declared that he had for months suffered this condition on board the Fortitude Hulk at Chatham, he had often applied to the Hospital officer there for a remedy to alleviate his sufferings. This requires no comment. .....
