iain Frazier on 21st August, 2019 wrote: Francis was born about 1808. He arrived in NSW as a convict on ADRIAN in 1830. He is recorded as employed by T F (Hawkins) at Bathurst in 1837. D Wong on 22nd August, 2019 wrote: 3/2/1830 Bury and Norwich Post Suffolk, England: Francis Chapman, charged with stealing three pieces of iron, the property of Wm. Chapman, of Downham, seven years’ transportation. The prisoner had been before convicted. Francis Chapman was listed as 25 years old on arrival. Native Place: Norfolk. Francis was literate, married with 1 child, 5’7½” tall, ruddy complexion, brown hair, light hazel eyes, scar on top of right foot at front. Assigned to the Dept. of Public Works. 23/7/1839: COF
