Surrey Sessions Saturday. The whole of the trials having been gone through, the following sentences were recorded : To be transported for life—John Charlwood, John Wicks, for sheepstealing. Albion and the Star, 16 Feb 1835.

ADM 101/65/7/11835 Medical journal of the Royal Sovereign, convict ship, for 4 July to 30 December 1835 by Francis Logan, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the ship was employed in the convict service. (Described at item level) Folios 8-9: case no.6, John Charlewood, aged 30, prisoner, taken ill near [Cape Attoway?]; sick or hurt, headache, pains in the back and loins much weakness; put on sick list 4 December 1835, sent 12 December 1835 to hospital at Sydney, having anchored at Sydney last night sent him to the hospital this morning, this man would not have lived two days longer at sea.
