Liverpool Standard and General Commercial Advertiser Lancashire, England: To be transported for 14 years. James Charters, aged 28, for stealing a watch &c., the property of Robert Jones; James Charters was listed as 29 years old on arrival. Native Place: Lancashire. Occupation: Plaisterer and stucco worker, good. James was literate, protestant, single, 5'5" tall, dark ruddy complexion, dark brown hair, dark hazel eyes, marks of scrofula right side of neck, right arm a little contracted. 1837: Assigned to W. Blaxland, Merton. 21/10/1846: Merton - Unclaimed letter held at Sydney Post Office.
