CHURCH, Elizabeth (ABGR 23313) Born c1788 as she gave her age as 23 on arrival in Australia, in 1811.

Elizabeth was sentenced to seven years transportation when she was tried in the City of Dublin, in January, 1807.

Her Certificate of Freedom number is 1583 and her Absolute Pardon number 10/1583. Both dates are unknown.

When the 1814 Muster took place Elizabeth was a Convict Off Stores, in Sydney, with two children, also Off Stores. (page 160, number 7129)

Elizabeth and John Barford (Bareford, Barefoot, Barfoot, and Bedford) (per Boyd 1806) married on July 2nd, 1811, in St John’s Church of England, Parramatta, by Samuel Marsden. (Historical BDM’s references V1811505-147A/1811 & V1811265 3A/1811)

Children from the marriage are Rose c1813 whose partner was John Wilcox, Elizabeth c1814, John c1816, Michael c1818, Anne c1822, Ellen c1823, Bridget c1826, William c1827 and George c1830 married Louisa S(T) oden. (source Patricia Bates & Jennifer Burrell)

In May 1820 Elizabeth, her husband John and their children went to Port Dalrymple.
