Benjamin Watts, Samuel Finch, the younger, & Henry Clark, were charged with having stolen from the person of James Humm, a silver watch, on the night of Saturday last. In two or three minutes they left him and ran away across the fields ; Humm not up and felt for his watch but it was gone. Humm returned to Colchester, and whilst communicating his loss to his father, Clark came down the road and was accused of stealing the watch, upon which he gave Humm a blow and ran away He was afterwards apprehended.
