ADM 101/1/9. Medical Journal of the Albion, male convict ship from 9 May to 14 November, by Thomas Logan, surgeon and superintendent, Folios 2-3: 19 May 1828; twelve convicts were received from the hulk Ganymede, and sixty from the Justitia, they had all been examined previously to their coming on board the Albion. They all appeared to be healthy, were clean in their persons and dressed in a new suit of convict's clothes. Folio 3: case no 10; Robert Clarkson, convict, taken ill at Woolwich; sick or hurt, ulcer of shin; Put on sick list 20 May 1828, date of discharge unknown.

John Smith and Robert Clarkson, charged with stealing a quantity of calico, from the shop of Thomas Collier, at Witney, value 20s. Transportation for life. William Dale, charged with receiving the same, knowing it to have been stolen.— Admitted Evidence. Oxford University and City Herald, 8 March 1828.  On Thursday, James Hack, Robert Clarkson, John Smith, and Edmund Morris, were removed from our county gaol to the hulks at Woolwich;  Oxford University and City Herald, 29 March 1828. 1868, 19 October: Robert CLARKSON or WILLIAMS per Albion 1828, shop robbing, life, is on a list of so-called "British Lunatics" in the "Parramatta Lunatic Asylum" (see New South Wales, Australia, Convict Records, 1810-1891).
