Married Catherine Moran, not Mary Green.Went to Richmond River.Cut cedar also at Brunswick Heads. Catherine remarried [Day] Headstone survives at Ballina historic cemetery wall. Came from Brighton Sussex, no birth record found. Lived at Orange Row with mother[ probably Lucy Martin]and William and Lucy Coleman. Willian probably his brother.

First sent to Liverpool,Bathurst, Botany, then Brisbane Waters. Married Catherine Moran 1852. Ticket of Leave 1839. Certificate of freedom 1843. Children--stepson Charles Jordan,Harriett 1845,John 1849, Louisa 1 and Elizabeth 1851, Mary C1852, Henry William 1854, Louisa 2 and Maryanne 1856, Ellen 1860, Joseph 1864. The family moved to the Richmond River C 1864 where John was a cedar cutter. He lived at Ballina and Boyds Mountain.He died in 1871 aged 52 and was buried in the old Ballina cemetery where his headstone is part of the memorial wall. Ellen Coleman married John Jarrett in Ballina.
