John COLLINS was convicted at Salop on 21 March 1835 for larceny - stealing clothes and a box. Previous offence. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ‘Asia’ arriving 21 Feb 1836.

Married man, wife Agnes, at Quinton. 2 children.
Native place - Ludlow, England.
Aged 28yrs; waggoner; 5’8 3/4”; fresh complexion; red/brown hair; Hazel eyes; stout build; tattoos.

VDL:
1837 - 1839: Assigned as a Constable.
2 July 1840: Ticket of Leave granted.
7 Aug 1841: Conditional Pardon approved. No. 3151.
18 Jan 1843: Free Certificate. No. 62.
