Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Morley in 1817, 1818, 1820, 1828 and 1829 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1820 and 1823. 1829 Voyage. 200 Male English Convicts. Commander; Harrison. Richard Lewis; Surgeon Superintendent arrived 2 Dec 1829. All convicts survived the voyage.

William Conly, Sen, age 45, G.S. Morley, 1818, 14 years, protestant, Householder, Market Street, Sydney. Mary Conly, 18, Came Free, Brothers, 1824, protestant William Conly, age 13, C.F. Came Free, Brothers, 1824, protestant Charles Conly, age 12, Came Free, Brothers, 1824, protestant James Conly, age 2 ½, B.C. -------------------------------------------------- It appears that his wife Mary and children arrived on Brothers in 1824, and William was assigned to Mary Connolly, his wife. In 1826, son James Connolly was born.




Lancaster Assizes. The following prisoners have been tried: Jas. Walker (20), Jas. Telley (29) Wm. Conolly (34), Jas. Schofield (50) Mary Steel ?? Edward Walton (19) and W. Taylor (26) pleaded guilty of having forged notes in their possession. Lancaster Gazette, 28 March 1818.
