Mary Ann Connor was transported on the Margaret, departing 30th Apr 1840 and arriving 18th Aug 1840 with 78 passengers.
Built 1829 at Chepstow. 365 tons. Female prisoners were transported to New South Wales on the 'Margaret' in 1837, 1839 and 1840. The 'Margaret' was the last convict ship to transport female prisoners to New South Wales. Another voyage to Van Diemen's Land in 1843. The 1840 sailing also carried 17 free female passengers and one male. The registers of persons is not yet complete on this web site, so please note this if researching. (A work in progress.)

Mary left Augustin to begin a defacto relationship with another Chilean Samuel Creanor aka Santa Crina, they had a son Robert William born 1849 born at the Australian Agricultural Company at Goonoo Goonoo




Augustin and Mary had a son James in 1845 born at Stroud




within a year of arriving at Stroud in 1841 Mary gave birth to a son Thomas Connor birth cert says son of James and Mary Conners




married Augustin Aldriette 3 feb 1842 using the surname Barry - Augustine was from Chile an emmigrated on the ship Barry - Agustin Aldetete from around the area of Valparaiso, Chile. He came to Australia in 1840 to work for the Australian Agricultural Company as a muleteer (described: huaso). He is believed either to have died as the result of bushrangers in the 1850s. Other huasos to come at the same time included Santo Crina (Crena/Creanor) Bernardo Riba (Reeves)
