James CONNORS was convicted at Wexford, Ireland on 25 June 1842 for cattle stealing. 10 yr transportation sentence. Gaol report: Never convicted before. Quiet. Sent to Van Diemen's Land per the 'Navarino' arriving 10 Jan 1843. Ship Surgeon's Report: "Good". Aged 22yrs; single man; a clerk; 5'8"; can read & write; Roman Catholic. Native place - Wexford, Ireland. Father - Michael Mother - Alice Brothers - John, Pat. 2 and a half years Probation Period in Colony. Sent to Lower Marshes. 11 Jan 1848: Ticket of Leave 28 June 1853: Free Certificate
