The Pilot departed Cork on 9/3/1817 and arrived at Port Jackson 29/7/1817. 17/7/1818: Punished for robbing the Government Garden at Newcastle. 22/7/1823: Servant to Mr Nash; To work in Goal Gang for 6 months - On returns of proceedings of the Bench of Magistrates, Parramatta. 22/10/1822: On list of prisoners transported to Newcastle per Elizabeth Henrietta. 12/5/1825: Convicted of stealing rim, brandy wine and ber from a booth at the Sydney races, along with Phillip Hyde, John Busk, Jas. Bennet and Peter Mulhoan. All were found guilty and transported to Port Macquarie for 7 years. 1828 Census: James was in Moreton Bay. 2/2/1838: James died at the Norfolk Island Hospital, aged 48.
