William Costello was transported for 7 years on "Asia 3", departing October 1824 and arriving Sydney in February 1825. Trial at Galway, stealing a lamb. Aged 22 years. His Mother Bridget Costello, petitioned for him on 22 April 1824, saying that William resided at Culkeen near Dunmore in Co Galway, and that he is the sole support of her and three other children. Bridget as desperate and she petitioned again on 18th May 1824 and for a third time on 27 July 1824.
