5/9/1827 Leicester Herald Leicestershire, England: WARWICK ASSIZZES Henry Cotton, for stealing at Aston, one shirt &c. the property of Matthew Jeliffe. Henry Cotton was 22 years old on arrival: he was born in Birmingham. Henry was 5'2" tall, dark brown hair and eyes, scar across first joint of little finger left hand, large pockmark centre of chest, single. Brothers and sisters at Native Place. Father and Mother dead - I was last working at Mr Barrs High Street, Birmingham, Umbrella Maker. 1830 Muster: Assigned to W. Archer Esq. 1832-35 Musters: Field Police. 22/2/1836: had TOL 6/1/1841: CP 19/7/1844: Free Pardon July 1845: Pardon extend for all Australian Colonies. 19/7/1845: Pardoned for any country not in Europe.
