Requests laundress from Factory to be assigned in her place Notes re above Letter dated 26 Sept 1829 from the Convicts Office to Colonial Secretary, Enclosing List of Persons applying for Publication of Banns from Mr Vincent. written in Margin, “Thomas Cribb/ “Agamemnon” To Ann Hall/ “Morley” 3” Note re above. Mentions Goodlake [Printed Form] List of Persons Applying for the Publication of Banns at Brisbane Town, Moreton Bay Sep 8th, 1829- Thomas Cribb/ Bachelor/ “Agamemnon” & Ann Goodlake [crossed out] Hall/ Widow/ “Moreley”[also spelt Morley] & Notes re above persons. There appears to have been a dispute over the publication of the banns of marriage between Ann Hall/Goodlake, and Thomas Cribb, which led to the dismissal and resignation of the assistant curate, Rev. John Vincent. (There is no mention in the correspondence of the marriage taking place.)
