The depredators mentioned in our last, and who have been committed for trial, have practised their iniquities in the neighbourhood of Bishops Lydeard upwards of fourteen years past, and constituted in their immediate families formidable banditti. The following is account, of their relationships:—John Wood, father-of Henry Wood, and father-in-law of Samuel Cross—William Hurley, uncle to William Cross, Samuel Cross, and uncle by law to William Hays—-Henry Wood, brother-in-law to Samuel Cross-—William Hays, brother-in-law Samuel Cross and William Cross —William Cross and Samuel Cross are two brothers, and nephews of William Hurley .—mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, 50 in all.
