Session Date 14 Sep 1826 1682. WILLIAM CROWTHER was indicted for stealing, on the 19th of August , 1 coat, value 5s. , the goods of Edward Lidyard . EDWARD LIDYARD. I am a butcher , and live at Portland-town . The prisoner was at my house, with his mother, on the morning of the 19th of August - I missed a great coat from a room up stairs; he and his mother came home at night; he had this great coat and some other things; I asked why he took it - he gave no answer.
