The "Morley" was built on the Thames, England in 1811. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Morley in 1817, 1818, 1820, 1828 and 1829 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1820 and 1823. 1829 Voyage. 200 Male English Convicts. Commander; Harrison. Richard Lewis; Surgeon Superintendent arrived 2 Dec 1829. All convicts survived the voyage.

Sarah Crummy, age 9, B.C. John Crummy, age 7, B.C. Catherine Crummy, age 5, B.C. James Crummy, age 3, B.C. Richard Crummy, age 1, B.C. -------------------------------------------------- Fifty Lashes For Gambling Parramatta Court - December 26, 1822. NATHANIEL SHEPHERD— attached to the Lumber yard — brought forward. BERNARD CRUMMY— Constable — States:— That about Four o'clock yesterday afternoon he saw a number of Men Gambling the other side the Water. They made off when they saw him. He pursued two of them, when the Prisoner Shepherd laid hold of him, and prevented him from pursuing the men. He took him in Charge being one of the Men that was amongst the Party Gambling. Sentenced to receive Fifty Lashes and sleep in the Barracks. (From the Parramatta Court records, 1822.) Published in the Daily Telegraph, 31 Mar 1940. -------------------------------------------------- FUNERAL.—The Friends of MARY, the beloved wife of the late BERNARD CRUMMY, of Parramatta, are requested to attend her Funeral; to move from her late residence, Grose-street, at 4 p.m. THIS DAY, Monday, 13th May. Barney Crummy, an Irish labourer, was indicted for having uttered to Mary Baylis, at Liverpool, a forged note one pound, knowing it to be forged. Evening Mail, 16 Sept 1816. James Quin (17) Barney Crummy (30) Sarah Gordon (35) and Sarah Hassall (50) for having forged Bank notes in their several possessions, knowing the same to be forged. On behalf of Barney Crummy and Mary Cane, Samuel Marsden, Senior Chaplain, made an application dated 5 October 1818 for the reading of banns in anticipation of a happy union. Approval was given and the couple married at St. John’s Parish Church, Parramatta on 2 November 1818, witnessed by Elizabeth Carkett and Charles McClean. Of note is the very neat hand with which the groom [recorded as Cumming] signed the register. Mary Cain made her mark ‘X’

Deposition re illegal sale of spirits. 15/7/1822: Constable, Parramatta. Re reward for arrest of George Barke. 1/8/1822: Received 5 pounds reward to apprehension of bushrangers. 25/10/1823: Captured Timothy Wall and Charles Bridges. 26/12/1823: On pay lists of constables in the Parramatta district; also listed as Cromey. Nov.1825: To be granted a conditional pardon; appears as Bernard Cromey. 1/11/1830: COF About 1818/1821 Barney married Mary Cain (per Friendship 1817). They had 4-9 children.
