James CURRAN was convicted at Carlow, Ireland in 1838 for stealing. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to New South Wales, Australia per the ‘Westmoreland’ arriving Aug 1838.

Aged 50yrs; labourer; Roman Catholic.
Married man - 3 male children, 4 female children.
Native place - London, England.

Received a Certificate of Freedom, in NSW (ref. 45/950)
