Mary CURRY was convicted at Carlow, Ireland on 3 April 1846 for stealing potatoes. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ‘Arabian’ arriving 25 Feb 1847.
Aged 27yrs; country servant; married, 1 child Patrick on board with her; 5’; Roman Catholic.
Child: Patrick CURRY admitted to the Queens Orphanage, New Town nr Hobart on 2 Mar 1847. Father listed as Nicholas Curry & mother Mary Curry per Arabian. Aged 4yrs. Discharged on 13 Oct 1838. Mother now remarried, name Prenty.
