The Royal Admiral was built at Lynn in 1828. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Royal Admiral in 1830, 1833, 1835 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1842. 1833 - Ship; Royal Admiral. Commenced fitting as a Convict Transport at Deptford on the 29 March. Surgeon Superintendent [Andrew Henderson] joined on the 3rd April. Guard embarked on the 13th. Sailed on the 17th and anchored in Kingston Barbour near Dublin on the 9th May. 220 convicts embarked on the 16 May 1833 and the ship sailed from Dublin Bay for Sydney on the 4th June and arrived there on the 20 October. Originally embarked with 221 convicts, 5 Died at sea, 1 was Relanded. 11 sick on shore, The convicts were described as 220 such wretchedly debilitated creatures ... Patrick was 18 years old on arrival in NSW, (16 when sentenced). Assigned to T.A. Murray at Goulburn. 1839: TOL Goulburn 20/10/1841: COF 13/1/1864 Goulburn Herald: PARLIAMENTARY PAPER.- -ROBBERIES. Return relative to highway, mail, and store robberies reported to the police since 20th October, 1863. Persons robbed: December 17-Dennis Lynch, Thomas Euston, Richard Ryalls, Patrick Cush, Edward Wiseman; robbery with arms, Gunning road, twenty miles from Burrowa. Greville's Post Office Directory, 1872: CUSH Patrick, Farmer, Milbank. 24/1/1913: Patrick died aged 97 at Goulburn. 25/1/1913 Goulburn Evening Penny Post: OBITUARY. Mr. Patrick Cush, formerly well known as a farmer at Collector, died on Friday morning at the age of 97. He had enjoyed excellent health up to a few days ago, when he became the victim of a prevailing epidemic, which proved fatal. He was a native of Tyrone, Ireland, and came to this State 55 years ago. For the past 29 years he had been living with the late Messrs. J and M. O’Halloran. Previous to that he carried on farming at Millbang, near Collector. The deceased was unmarried. In the bush ranging days he was stuck up on one occasion and relieved of what valuables he had on him.
