16th Oct [1834] . JOHN CUTHBERT, CHARLES ALLEN and JOHN CALLAGHAN absconded in the morning and were apprehended on the 18th at Longridge. 'History of Norfolk Island from the period of its Discovery in the year 1774', to-1 August 1854, by Aaron Price


SUPREME COURT. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14. (Before the Chief Justice.) Michael Donohoe, John Buckley, and John Culbert [Cuthbert], were indicted for feloniously entering the dwelling-house of Thomas Evernden, Esq., Coloonah, near Bathurst, in July last, and stealing therefrom a number of blankets, cooking utensils, and provisions, above the value of £5. … The Jury found the prisoners guilty of larceny. There were other indictments against the prisoners in which, however, the Crown Solicitor declined proceeding, and they were ordered to be remanded for sentence. (Sydney Gazette, 15 Nov 1831, p. 3.)
