John Dale was convicted at Norfolk on 09/03/1836 for stealing. 7 yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Eden' arriving 22/12/1836. Ticket of Leave 05/01/1841 Conditional Pardon 18/11/1842

Error#3:you have age at death 38.Delete and replace with age at death 52. He was riding a horse on a slippery wooden bridge when the horse slipped and threw him,fracturing his skull fatally.

Errors(2): Death Date: delete "1852",replace with "1866" also delete"brother Jeremiah #1200 attended" (wedding) replace with "brother Thomas #1185 attended" Add: Johns wife,Ellen (Sweeney) was an inmate at Cascades womens factory prison.

married Ellen Sweeney,convict #407 in double wedding with brother Jeremiah #1200 and Ellen Talbot #194,C.of E. at Battery point,Hobart,8/9/1845.Brother Jeremiah # 1200 attended.5 convicts altogether. Took steamship "Kangaroo to mainland,near Portland.Now several thousand descendants,including my wife.Fascinating story.
