Passengers — Fourteen free females, viz. Mary Manning, Martha Morron, Margaret Mahon, Margaret Sheedy, Mary Ann Nixon alias Welsh, Catherine Kiernan, Mary Cassock, Catherine Stanton, Johanna Neville, Mary Lyons alias Hynes, Maria Moran, Catherine O'Donnel, Margaret Kennedy, and Mary Sullivan, and twenty-six children; also twenty-three children belonging to the prisoners. Committed to the City Gaol by Watson and Alderman Crips: Catherine Daly, and Mary Clime, for further examination. Limerick Chronicle, 15 June 1833. Limerick City Sessions. Catherine Daly, for stealing a pocket-book and bank notes, £4 10s, from Henry O’Brien, sen, his property; and in another count for receiving same, knowing it to be stolen. Henry O’Brien, sworn—His son gave him a pocket-book to pay taxes, but the collector had not time to receive it, in a short time after he missed the pocket-book. H O’Brien, jun. sworn—Gave his father the pocket book containing 10s, in notes at the fair of Bridgetown to pay taxes; on coming to Limerick found the money with the Serjeant Major of Police, and described the notes to. him before seeing them ; identified a Bank of England-note, which he had indorsed. Police Serjeant Thomas Reidy, sworn,—Prisoner was pointed out to him as a pickpocket in Mungret- street, where she was in company with another woman, took both to Police-office, and found on their persons 29s. in notes, and 7/, with’ the prisoner, one of them a Bank of Ireland note for 1£, which former witness identified as having indorsed. The pocket-book was found under a stone in. the Chapel yard of Bridgetown. Verdict—Guilty of having the money knowing it to be stolen. Limerick Chronicle, 13 July 1833. An order was received on Wednesday the City Sheriffs to transmit the following 19 convicts in custody to the Penitentiary at Cork preparatory to transportation, pursuant to their respective sentences: Mary Enright, Margaret Sullivan, Bridget Costelloe, Mary Manning, Catherine Ryan, Margaret Enright, Anne Hickey, Ellen Maher, Honora Lynch, Catherine Daly, Bridget King, Deborah Riedy, Mary Lynch, Elisabeth Moore, Mary Gleeson, Deborah Coffey, Bridget Considine, Mary Ryan, and Ellen Nix.
