Henry Daley was 15 years old when indicted for stealing 1 bed quilt, value 5s., and 1 shawl, value 2s., the property of Hannah Bick, a widow.

After being shipped to Brisbane for a 2nd offence Henry excaped into the bush.
He lived with natives to the south of Moreton Bay for many years and became fluent in several native dialects.
