The Convict Indentures states that Bridget Devern was 28 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Tipperary. She was a kitchen maid. Bridget was convicted of stealing a gown at Tipperary on 1 November 1836 and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She had one prior convictions and served 12 months and 7 months. Physical attributes: height 5 feet 1 inches; complexion dark sallow and freckled; hair brown and eyes hazel grey. Transport number 66. Prisoner number 66-38.
